Under The Banyan Tree (UTBT) Centre is a registered charity for people with exceptional needs located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It serves intellectually and/or physically challenged individuals of all ages with multicultural backgrounds living in the York Region and the Greater Toronto Area since 2003. With expertise, experience and care, each member of the UTBT team provides every client with the individual attention needed for them to reach their maximum potential.

News

• December 20, 2024: 2024 Group Music Therapy Program​            - FREE to qualified individuals over 21 years old.             Deadline for Program application is January 10, 2025            and Program  starts on January 18, 2025.  A deposit of $50 is required at registration and the deposit will be refunded after completing 4 sessions.
• November 11, 2024: Our Centre has started our 2024 Annual Fall Online Fund Raising Campaign with a fundraising goal of $25,000. We are looking forward to your generous donation and continued support. Please see 2024 Fundraising Campaign for details.


• June 4, 2024: Ms. Ines Cheang and Student Cantonese Opera Charity Concert held at Fairview Mall Public Library on May 30, 2024. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this Chartity concert which has raised $83,349.00 of donation to our Centre. We are grateful for the One to one matching donation of $30,000 by Ms. Goretti Lau who has helped to make it such as successful fundraising event.
